Now, 2018/6

Update on where in the world I am, enjoy 🙂

This post and the Now page, borrowed the idea of Derek Sivers, one of my Opinion Leaders since more than a decade, and who also created NowNowNow.com, with many others telling about what are they doing at a particular stage of their lives.

So if you were wondering about what is Andrea Gerák doing now and where in the world is she, thank you for asking, here it is, as of June, 2018, looking something like this:

I am in South-Bohemia, Czechia

(or Czech Republic, if that name is more familiar to you)
This country really feels like a second home to me!

What am I doing:

  • Travel With a Song (Utazás Dallal, in Hungarian)
Simply: I travel, and sing beautiful songs in beautiful places. Hungarian and other folk songs, and I learn a few local traditional tunes of the given country. Or maybe an evergreen or musical piece.
But also, when I attend some live music event that gives back the feeling of the destination where I am at, I will sometimes capture them, too.
So far, I can post my tiny videos mainly on Instagram, check out the hashtag #TravelWithASong and the Flickr album.Listen to a few tracks that I have recorded so far, watch the videos, and if you like them, you can also download the songs with bonuses like photos and such!

This is how I am making these recordings:

Aren’t they pretty? There are so many more gorgeous places on Earth where I will love to do something like this! And of course, it will be way better with better equipment. I am working on that, and if you feel like contributing to this exciting creative process, see some options here.

    • Of course, I take bookings for singing performances worldwide as well, birthdays, weddings, festivals, corporate, community, social, church events, exhibition openings and such – maybe you have some event coming up, or know about one where a beautiful female voice would do good?I also perform with a Czech male singer, accordeon player, we do folk songs from this part of the world. Also, I have to mention that at the moment, most of my shows are supported solely by the gracious audience, online as well. So thanks a bunch for your downloads and for everything that you put into my virtual hat!
    • Walking a lot and hiking, discovering more of this amazingly beautiful and culturally rich area, taking photos, photos and photos,

  • Taking care of a serious-looking health issue that manifests mainly in my legs, but it’s getting better.
  • Enjoying the summer!!
